1. Gather Your Tools. That means any and all essential items of the RV life you have stashed away for DIY jobs. Though it varies from bidet to bidet, you’ll most likely need a wrench and screwdriver along with the bidet kit and maybe some Teflon tape. Most kits generally come with everything you need, but it’s smart to supply the tools yourself just in case.
2. Turn Off the Water Supply. Locate your water valve attached to the water lines behind your toilet and turn it off to prevent any leaks or mishaps.
3. Remove the Toilet Seat. Unscrew the bolts holding the toilet seat in place and set it aside.

Ok! So bidets might be primarily for their utilitarian purposes… But how about a bidet attachment that adds a bit of flair to your RV’s bathroom? 

The Tushy Classic 3.0 offers you a more stylish setup of bidet. Known for its easy installation and convenient near-universal compatibility, it’s an easy choice for a sleeker and more modern take on the bathroom upgrade. 

I’m a fan of the overall aesthetic of the Tushy 3.0. Not taking itself too seriously, Tushy has injected a clever tongue-in-cheek take into every element of its product and branding. Even the instruction manual can’t help but get a few zingers in!

The big disappointment is the overuse of plastic in the construction. Certain elements are just flimsier than they should be. Specifically, the screws and T-adapter just aren’t as durable as I’d like them to be and are worth considering upgrading individually.

It’s cheap, it’s efficient, and it’s even multifunctional, perfectly equipped for cleaning the toilet after you’re done!

Constructed from mighty stainless steel, the Arofa Handheld Bidet Sprayer is a durable and rust-resistant bidet that prioritizes longevity. There are no awkward plastic attachments or under-the-seat installations. Just a handy stainless steel bumgun equipped for a long life of fast and effective cleaning. 

Installation is even more straightforward than the hands-free models. And using it is especially easy once you get used to its manual aim and activation. Truthfully, learning curve aside, I am much more partial to these sprayers than the awkward redirections of hands-free models.

But the learning curve is the drawback here. It’s not steep. It’s barely a light incline. But I do understand that it might take a mental adjustment the first few times you point a high-level water pistol at your poop-shoot.

But after that curve comes absolute supremacy in the excretory experience. Nothing offers control and genuinely thorough clean that feels good like the common household bumgun of most of continental Asia. Get in, get clean, and get out again lighting quick!

Ok, my gushing about handheld sprayers aside, let’s check out our final hands-free option. The Veken Bidet is an ultra-slim variant of the bidet attachments. Emphasizing easy installation, it’s a simpler solution for beginner bidet-ers.

Now, I will admit the Veken does feel cheaper in quality compared to other options on this list. The fittings are all metal (which is a solid improvement over the Tushy). But whether it’s the plastic itself or just its ultra-slim profile, the bidet feels a dash on the flimsy side. 

For that reason, you might also consider the LUXE bidet as a better budget bidet option. However, you just can’t beat foolproof installation! The Veken isn’t my go-to recommendation on this list. 2. Potential for microtears. The friction caused by wiping with toilet paper can cause tiny microtears in the sensitive skin of the nether regions. These microtears are very uncomfortable and increase the risk of infection
3. Environmental contamination. Also, toilet paper is straight-up unclean! The process of using toilet paper can lead to contamination of your hands. This can quickly spread to other surfaces in the bathroom even before you wash your hands (like the faucet!).

Also, all that toilet paper-free cleaning is better for the environment! Not even recycled toilet paper is 100% free of its eco-impact. Chemicals, virgin fibers, and various resources are all still used in its manufacturing.

Instead, bidets reduce the need for toilet paper or outright eliminate it. This is especially useful in an RV where you’re generally better off using RV-specific TP.
